Warehouse Roof Project of Logistics Park

2025-09-13

A large logistics park in Guangzhou recently completed the construction of its core warehouse area, covering a building area of 28,000 square meters. The warehouse needs to withstand long-term exposure to sun, rain and occasional strong winds, so the roof material was required to be durable, waterproof and fireproof. Magnesium oxide (MgO) board was finally selected for the warehouse’s metal roof project, and it performed well in practice.

MgO board, First, its excellent waterproof performance is key. The Guangzhou area has frequent rainy seasons, but the smooth surface and good sealing of MgO board prevent rainwater from seeping into the warehouse, protecting the goods stored inside—especially electronic products and paper materials that are sensitive to moisture.

Second, its fire resistance provides safety. As the warehouse stores a large number of goods, fire prevention is critical. MgO board reaches A1-grade non-combustible standard, which can stop fire spread in case of emergency, reducing the risk of property loss.

Additionally, MgO board is light in weight, which reduces the load on the warehouse’s roof structure. Its easy installation also helped shorten the construction period by 10 days, allowing the warehouse to start operations earlier. Being eco-friendly (no harmful substances like formaldehyde) also aligns with the logistics park’s green development goals.

Overall, MgO board’s multiple advantages make it a reliable choice for logistics warehouse roofs, offering strong support for the efficient and safe operation of the logistics park.
